We must now see that the lifestyle imposed on us as modern life in a period of more than 100 years is a product of the imperialist culture of the West and it has brought us only blood, tears, humiliation, disbelief and bondage. We should return to our own cultural values and protect them, especially in terms of our nutrition type and consumption.
Non-Muslim cuisine, which pesters our daily life today, has turned our individual and social life upside down by creating spiritual depression, intellectual confusion, moral degeneration besides bodily problems in the century we live in. The vast majority of people, including us Muslims, have become slaves to western modernity.
They turned to the flavors that hedonism instills in them, and they didn’t think about the future. They even tried to defend their states that are in pursuit of taste and justify themselves. And we, as Muslims, have inserted this modernity into our life without realizing it. The producers targeted the taste and enthusiasm of the consuming society, not the Islamic concern of consumers.
We must realize that we have been bringing our teenagers up in a wrong way by trying to adapt this cultural imperialism of the west blindly and we should regret about this. We must create a climate of brotherhood that embraces the entire ummah.
In order to end this confusion in the new world order, we are witnessing that we will get rid of this complex structure by a generation that is conscious of living as a Muslim who knows the requirements of a halal life and is conscious of Islamic rules in food consumption.
