GIMDES LADIES’ BOARD
GIMDES Medical Research Group, which is established by GIMDES volunteer health care professionals, has organized its first meeting on 30 January 2021 (17 Jamaz al-Akhir 1442) with the honorable participation of GIMDES President Dr. Huseyin Kami BUYUKOZER. The existence of Haram ingredients in the pharmaceuticals and the importance of finding alternatives to them are discussed in the meeting.
Mr. BUYUKOZER has also answered the questions raised by the participants and made comparisons with the pre-GIMDES and post-GIMDES era in the sectors. He highlighted the importance of working with determination in the Search for Health From the Window of Halal and Tayyib. In response to the question about whether or not haram additives in drugs are considered as a necessity (Dharoorah), he stated that there are different opinions, but the predominant one is that if it is not about survival, it is not considered as Dharoorah.
As an answer to another question which is related to the vaccines, he said that we are not against the vaccines, but demand Halal ones and finalized his words by reminding that once upon a time, we were the first initiators to introduce the vaccines to the whole world. However, unfortunately, although the issue of vaccines has been discussed intensely for decades, there is not much development about Halal vaccines, which we have to focus on more.
BUYUKOZER also stated that he himself and GIMDES are ready to provide assistance in terms of Fiqh, Technicality and Regulatory issues in the search of pharmaceuticals full of Halal ingredients.
He delivered his thanks at the end of the meeting by saying “I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to my brothers and sisters who have participated in our GIMDES Ladies’ Board, GIMDES Health Research Group and our meeting, which brought up such an issue with an online meeting. ”
Stating her thanks to GIMDES President Dr. Huseyin Kami BUYUKÖZER for his participation and support, Dr. Hatice Kubra Alcı concluded the program with the announcement that a second conference on “Patient Rights” is planned to be realized in 2021 February.
