Imam Hatib Schools are actually religious vocational high schools that give both religious and contemporary education . Some years back, graduates of Imam Hatib schools were only permitted to enter Faculty of Islamic Sciences but recently the Parliament passed a law that enable graduates of such schools to choose any field for higher education in University including medical sciences, law and engineering. This move has yielded a tremendous demand for these schools because students have the facility to learn both their religion and modern sciences as well as learning Qur’an, Arabic and English.
