SAFA FOUNDATION visited GIMDES and met with GIMDES President Dr. Hüseyin Kâmi Büyüközer. A conversation was held about the importance of Halal Food in our country.
GIMDES President said, “For years, although many food products do not have the Halal and Tayyip conditions, our people consumed them without knowing. There are still companies in our country that do not know these or give them to our people despite knowing them. In this context, Muslims should consume Halal and Tayyip products that have passed GIMDES inspection.
It was emphasized in the meeting that we all have a duty in raising awareness in the society and it was hoped that the society would show interest in the boycott with a sustainable sensitivity, especially regarding BOYCOTT.
GIMDES President stated that he was one of the first to bring this issue to the agenda on the internet. We brought up the boycott in our article published on the internet in 2005. We continued to explain it in our later articles to refresh it. We should not lose the understanding of boycotting for a certain period of time and then forgetting about it, but rather for life.
After the meeting ended, we said goodbye by exchanging gifts and good wishes.
