Dr. Hüseyin Kami BÜYÜKÖZER
Allah (swt) Himself informs us that the act of sacrifice exists. In all the nations of the prophets, sacrifice has been made from the following five types of animals; camel, cow, buffalo, sheep and goat. It cannot be made from other animals. Because Allah commands that the animals to be sacrificed should be from the “al-AN’AM”. Allah (swt) Himself has informed us what En’am means.
“For every community We appointed a rite of sacrifice so that they may pronounce the Name of Allah over the sacrificial animals He has provided for them. For your God is only One God, so submit yourselves to Him ˹alone˺. And give good news ˹O Prophet˺ to the humble.” (Surah Al-Hajj, verse 34)
How, when and where is it best to fulfill Allah’s command of sacrifice? Our people have become strange today. Instead of experiencing the beauty, virtue, reward and happiness of celebrating Eid with friends, relatives, adults and children on Eid days, they try to arrange holidays to places where no one will be. They consider Eid celebrations as a chore. They are not aware that by doing so, they are undermining the most important of our social dynamics that bind us together.
We witness with our tears that our Gazan brothers and sisters, who have been struggling to survive under difficult conditions under blockade for years, have been subjected to great oppression for years… We must all work together to heal the wounds of our brothers in Gaza. Last year. Upon the demands of many of our brothers, it was possible to turn My Life Story into a book. The sale price of our book was determined as 75 Turkish liras. It was decided that the remaining income after the expenses would be delivered to Gaza. Serious work was done on this issue. Our 1000 books were sold for 75 TL per piece. After expenses were deducted, all of the remaining income was delivered to Gaza as canned sacrificial meat.
This Eid, we can sacrifice animals in Türkiye for our brothers and deliver them to our brothers as canned food via the Goodness Ships. However, due to an environment where the cruelty of Israeli child killers has increased this year, our brothers who provide these services state that they continue to do so under very difficult conditions, that they are trying to obtain sacrificial animals from all the way to India, and that they have difficulty in providing guarantees.
This year, we can distribute our sacrificial animals through our company İMTAŞ – TEL. +90 533 303 23 45- +90543 890 17 76, which is Halal and Tayyib certified by GIMDES, either individually or as a group, or by distributing them ourselves or by having the company distribute them to the places whose addresses we have provided.
On this blessed occasion of Eid al-Adha, we would like to take this opportunity to wish the Muslim Ummah a blessed Eid al-Adha in general, and may our Lord protect the entire Ummah from the calamities of the earth and the sky and the oppression of the oppressors. May Allah accept our sacrifices and make them a means of abundant goodness, prosperity and blessings in our lives in the years to come, Amin.
