For 100 years, the lives of non-Muslims have been tried to be imposed on Muslims. Therefore, with the aim of reminding people of our responsibility for Halal food, which they do not tend to, and with the aim of contributing to the halalization of our lives by holding on to the rope of Allah together, we celebrated our 13th year this year in the 17th of Ramadan World Halal Day celebrations that we started under the umbrella of the World Halal Council in 2013.
Yesterday (March 17, 2025 – Ramadan 17, 1446) various events were organized in many different countries of the world in order to celebrate the importance of the 17th Ramadan World Halal Day. Some of these events:
· Promotions were made about 17th of Ramadan World Halal Day in nearly 100 Halal Dunya Markets, and materials for that day were distributed (balloons, brochures, etc.). An iftar table was set up to commemorate 17 Ramadan in Malatya HDM branch.
· With the donations from our volunteers, iftar tables were set up for 5 thousand people as “17th of Ramadan World Halal Day Brotherhood Iftar” for our Muslim brothers in Hama, Syria and Gaza, Palestine.
· Congratulatory messages were sent in Turkish and English on our social media accounts and websites explaining the meaning and importance of the day.
· Trainings were held on the importance of Halal food in various provinces on the occasion of World Halal Day, and brochures were distributed.
As GIMDES, we organized a joint iftar as GIMDES and World Halal Foundation (DHV) to celebrate 17th of Ramadan World Halal Day. After reading the Quran and its translation for our iftar, we celebrated with great enthusiasm and satisfaction with the participation of approximately 200 people together with our guests at Değer Taş Fırın Lezzetleri Lokantası, certified as halal and tayyib by GIMDES. We also served our carefully prepared toothpaste to our guests.
