4-THE EFFECTS OF PROHIBITED FOODS IN ISLAM ON OUR BODY

Dr. Hüseyin Kâmi BÜYÜKÖZER

As we stated in our article with the same title, we stated that we would cover the subject with 9 articles.

We are publishing our fourth article with this article.

4- WHAT IS THE RELATIONSHIP OF LARD STORAGE TO HUMAN HORMONES AND BEHAVIOUR?

Hormones circulating in the body with the blood are in protein-bound or free forms. Hormones in free form have to bind to receptors in the adipose tissue before they can be active. Obesity reduces the number of receptors in adipose tissue, so hormones cannot be useful. For example, the hormone insulin causes diabetes; the hormone testosterone causes menstrual failure and reduced fertility. The amount of fat also controls the secretion of hormones.

The fat of carnivorous animals and pork cannot be hydrolysed and synthesised and stored as human fat. It can be assumed that there is an irregularity in the bonding of hormones in humans stored in lard. Therefore, they have a higher level of active hormones in their bloodstream.

It is possible that the perversion in the sexual life and abnormal sexual intercourse practices of pork-eating societies are related to what they eat. After all, nutritionists can say “You are what you eat”. So far, we have tried to explain the effects of pork on hormones and our behaviour.
