38 DAYS LEFT TO OUR 17th RAMADAN WORLD HALAL DAY

Dr. Hüseyin Kami BÜYÜKÖZER

First of all, I pray to Allah (SWT) that the blessed month of Ramadan brings mercy and blessings to you and our entire Ummah and that our prayers are accepted in this blessed month..

There are only a few days left to our 17th Ramadan World Halal Day, which we started in 2013 under the leadership of WHC and will celebrate the 13th time this year with all Muslims of the world.

As we do every year, we will carry out various activities for this day this year as well, insha’Allah. With your support, we reached 10 thousands of people in need in the Turkish Earthquake zone, Gaza, Palestine and Syria last Ramadan. We made 5000 people happy by setting up iftar tables with 1000 Ramadan food packages. This year, relying on Allah first, with the support we believe you will give, we will start reaching out to our Muslim brothers and sisters in need in the same places. We expect you to continue your warm support.

We will celebrate our World Halal Day on March 17, the 17th of Ramadan. The first verse on the subject of Halal, the 69th verse of the Surah Anfal, was revealed on the 17th of Ramadan, 624 AH, during the Battle of Badr, the first battle between Islam and infidelity.

So, what does our Lord say in the verse? “Eat lawfully and rightfully from the spoils you have taken, and fear Allah. Surely Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.”

A healthy state of mind and a mature person can only exist in a body that is nourished by halal food. A person who is exposed to ‘food terror’ later becomes food for all kinds of terror.

In other words, if we want to build a healthy, mature, patriotic, religious generation, we should start with the issue of whether what we eat and drink is halal or haram.

It is not only a subject that religion commands Muslims, but also the life prescription that the Creator offers to His creations for the welfare of all humanity.

Everyone who strives to live Islam should support this study that creates awareness about halal food and, more importantly, should pay attention to this issue in their own lives.

Ask yourself this question: “When was the last time I asked if the food I eat contains haram ingredients?”

Because “A time will come when mankind will not care at all whether what they eat is halal or haram. None of their prayers will be accepted.” Because “What importance do you have if you do not pray?” Muslims and all of humanity need your prayers.
