Dr. Hüseyin Kâmi BÜYÜKÖZER

Why was the gidaraporu.com website founded in 2003? Western hegemony is always on duty to raise people who have an inferiority complex, are fans of the West and even change their religion. To inform our society about this danger and to spread protection information.

Founded in 2005, GIMDES works as an institution that determines, inspects and certifies halal standards in many sectors such as food, cosmetics, medicine and cleaning products.

In order to carry out these purposes, these sites of ours, which are in service, have been dealing with important issues for our society since the first day. One of the issues it cares about is COSMETICS. We have made information, researches, meetings and news on this subject from time to time. With this article, we present our warning article ‘DO WE PAY ATTENTION?’ for COSMETICS, which has increased its importance even more.

Cosmetics is a general name given to products prepared for the care and cleaning of the body and the environment.

Products prepared for skin, hair, beard, teeth, nail care and cleaning are products such as Creams, Lotions, Shampoos, Toothpastes, Detergents for environmental cleaning, etc.

Products prepared as make-up and ornamental products are; Lipsticks, Powders, Blushers, Mascaras, Mascaras, Maskla, Perfumes, Deodorants, Hair Dyes, etc.

Raw materials and additives are used in cosmetic products according to the desired properties. These are lubricants, moisturizers, preservatives, antioxidants, pharmaceutical agents, polymers, dyes, fragrances, homogenizers, thickeners and emulsifiers.

As a result of long researches on the raw materials and additives used in the production of cosmetics, it has been seen that the risk of Asthma, Allergy, Skin Rashes and Skin, Breast, Uterine and Ovarian Cancer can occur, so it has been necessary to focus on it at length.

Cosmetics have an important place in people’s daily care habits. An average person uses at least a few cosmetic products every day. These are; fragrances, deodorants, soaps, shampoos, toothpastes, hair care products, creams and similar products.

The majority of people think that they encounter very few problems caused by these products. However, Dermatologists do not share this idea. While some problems may occur after the first few uses, they can also occur years after use. For this reason, most people do not know which product caused the problem.

Here are the findings of the experts:

Experts state that the chemicals in make-up materials, hair dyes, shampoos and perfumes pass from the skin to the blood, reach all cells and cause cancer years later. According to the research of experts from Breakspear Hospital, one of the important hospitals in England, all make-up materials, shampoos and hair sprays currently used in the world carry a dangerous risk of causing cancer. According to research, chemicals such as coal tar, phenyldiamine, benzene, and formaldehyde found in makeup cause cancer when used for many years.

According to another group of experts in the EU, the chemical substance Methylbromine glutaronil, which is permitted to be used in sunscreens and moisturizers, causes swelling, itching, and painful skin burns on the skin, and increases allergic reactions. According to EU data, it has been revealed that the number of people with eczema who are allergic to this chemical increased by 400% from 1991 to 2000.

According to a study conducted by an Institute working on cosmetics in the USA on additives used in nearly 3000 cosmetics, it was revealed that 884 of them were poisonous, 146 of them caused tumors, 218 of them caused reproductive disorders, 314 of them caused mutations, and 376 of them caused skin and eye disorders.

Again, in clinical studies conducted in the USA, it was revealed that women who used cosmetic products such as hair dye, shampoo, perfume intensively had a 70% higher risk of developing bladder, breast and leukemia cancer after a period of 10 years compared to women who did not use these substances. As a result of similar studies, it was found that women who used cosmetic products suffered from nervous disorders, allergic reactions, asthma and birth defects.

Creams applied to the skin, hair dyes and various hair sprays, lipsticks, powders, mascaras used for eyelashes and eyebrows, mascaras, foundations applied around the eyes, shampoos used for hair and body cleaning, perfumes and spray-on fragrances enter the body either by being absorbed from the skin or through the respiratory tract, and the harmful chemicals that form these substances by mixing with the blood can cause the damages mentioned in the body over time. This risk is not limited to women users. Especially people who deal with cosmetics and work in hairdressers are also at risk.

According to a study conducted at the University of Southern California in 2001, a person who dyed their hair once a month for at least 15 years has a 3 times higher risk of developing bladder cancer than other people. Women who dye their hair one to four times a year have a 70% higher risk of ovarian and breast cancer than women who never use dye. According to the same study, people who dye their hair at a hairdresser have a 5 times higher risk of bladder cancer than people who do not use dye. In addition, many of the products marketed for facial skin make facial skin shriveled, wrinkled and dull in a much shorter time.

The true face of cosmetic products that appear innocent under the gilded glitter of advertisements driven by commercial ambitions is revealed in dermatology clinics and laboratories. In addition to all this, it should not be ignored that a significant portion of the additives used in cosmetics are of animal origin, which poses a risk of mad cow disease, and that they are also forbidden for Muslims. If we take it even further, Muslims should be very careful when it comes to these preparations, which also use human and animal fetuses, birth residues, placentas, sperm cells, and etc.
