Are our people halal or haram now? He can decide the distinction by seeing GİMDES’ Halal and Tayyib Logo on the product.

Today, in addition to the countries where Muslims are the majority, halal food certified products are offered to the market and activities related to halal food certification are carried out in many secular and/or non-Muslim countries where they are a minority. In particular, the “Halal” logo is becoming a necessity on foods imported from regions such as Southeast Asia and the Middle East. In fact, some countries, such as Malaysia and some countries of Russia, have started to require products with the GIMDES logo on imports.

In our country, once upon a time, consumers were unable to determine whether it was halal or not by reading the label unless they learned from an accurate and reliable source. The consumer was in great difficulties because the label information was not sufficient and healthy. Once upon a time, it was forbidden to even put the halal logo on the product label, whether imported or domestically produced, on the grounds of unfair competition.

The ban on putting halal logos on labels that are meaningless and unworthy of human dignity has now been lifted as a result of GIMDES’s struggle. We have reached a position where the halal logo can be placed on the labels of GIMDES halal certified products in the export section, as well as the logo can be placed on domestic products. Our halal volunteer brothers must insistently demand this fundamental right of ours. Our companies should respect this fundamental right of the consumer and add GIMDES’ Halal logo to the labels of GIMDES’ Halal and Tayyib certified products.
