GIMDES ACCEPTED THE MALAYSIA DELEGATION!

Malaysian International Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MIICCI) president and vice presidents; senior manager and manager of SME Corporation (SMECORP) which is an agency supporting Micro, Small and Medium-sized businesses; and a delegation of 25 people, including businessmen from different sectors, visited GIMDES headquarters B2B meetings were made with companies from the Halal and Tayyib certified food and beverage sector around GIMDES headquarters. The list of GIMDES certified companies that could not attend the meeting and their contact information was given to the Malaysian delegation.

Malaysian International Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MIICCI) which is focusing to promote international trade that grouped Malaysian businessmen that export-ready and interest of exploring international market and a collaboration program with SME Corporation (SMECORP) Malaysia, an agency under Ministry of Entrepreneur and Cooperatives Development Malaysia visited GIMDES with the participation of a total of 11 companies from 8 food sectors and 3 personal care sectors. GIMDES president and employees; Erişler Gıda San. and Tic. A. Ş.; Nafia Gıda Kozmetik Temizlik İnş. Turz. San. and Tic. Ltd. Şti. and Halal World Markets representative from the GIMDES delegation attended the meeting.

The meeting started with the issues of the strong ties of brotherhood between Malaysia and Türkiye, and that strengthening these ties through joint collaborations and studies will yield positive results for both countries. The delegation stated that they wanted to export to Türkiye and to evaluate cooperation opportunities with GIMDES Halal and Tayyib certified companies.

The general topics discussed during the meeting were as follows:
•Meeting GIMDES certified companies with JAKIM certified companies and evaluating joint cooperation opportunities
•The importance of making certificates in accordance with 4 sects, as GIMDES does in halal certification
•The fact that the traceability of gelatin production could not be ensured was brought to the attention of the parties.
•Establish of Halal Dunya Markets (HDM) in Malaysia, online HDM, and sales of mutually certified products in markets
•The importance of maintaining the relations in the long term, removing the obstacles and making it a routinely implemented project between countries was emphasized.
