The new Director of Malaysian Ministry of International Trade and Industry, National Trade Promotion Agency MATRADE Istanbul, Mr. Zahiruddin BASIRAN, Assistant Director, Mr. Nur Syazana ABD RAHMAN and MATRADE Market Manager Mr. Eyüp ULUSOY visited GIMDES.
During the visit, a briefing was given about the activities of GIMDES. In particular, the detailed information on the techniques applied in certification, the logic of certification and the practice of reflecting different views of denominations on the label in certification were followed with interest.
During the meetings, GIMDES President Dr. Hüseyin Kami Büyüközer expressed his views on the need to be very careful about practices that will harm Halal and confuse Muslims in certifications and fair work on Halal and Tayyib food, which is the fundamental right of Muslims.
Matrade Director, Mr. Basiran stated that they would be pleased with the participation of both GIMDES and the companies under the roof of GIMDES at the international fair to be held in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia in September this year, and drew attention to the importance of the gains that these participations will bring to the commercial cooperation between Türkiye and Malaysia in the field of Halal and Tayyip. .
As a result of the meeting, it was agreed that the necessary steps should be taken to ensure participation in the B2B procurement symposium and the international fair, and that the concept of Halal Dunya Markets should be implemented by both countries.
