GIMDES and the UK-based HCB Halal Food Authority (HFA) have come together via an online platform. In the meeting attended by the CEO and Operation Manager of HFA and the GIMDES President as well as the External Affairs officials, increasing cooperation and establishing a single halal assurance system were discussed.
The importance of Halal morsel is highlighted and the necessity of louder expression regarding the invalid stance of non-Muslims trying to intervene in Halal issues was emphasized by our slogan “One Voice, Full Unity”.
Having a mutual understanding about the necessity of educating people about Halal and Haram from childhood, they kindly wanted to have a copy of the book “Basics of Halal and Haram for Children”, which has written by a brother in the USA. They stated that this book will be distributed to the Muslim community in the UK insha’Allah.
It was also emphasized that we need to provide this service to them in a better way by referring to the difficulties faced by Muslim consumers in their search for halal-certified products, and to strengthen the cooperation between institutions and to meet them more frequently.

To provide an example of the ways of helping Muslims to reach Halal certified products, our upcoming event is stated. A Muslim committee from Europe will come to GIMDES to meet with the firms, that are certified by GIMDES, in order to conduct trade arrangements and make European Muslims meet easily with Halal certified products. Appreciating this event, they stated that they wanted to act together in spreading the Halal.
The two institutions ended the meeting with mutual goodwill prayers and thanks.
