They are utilized to protect the products from external damages and facilitate transportation, storage, distribution, promotion and marketing processes by keeping them together. Packages are indispensable products to extend the shelf life of food, to ensure that products are stored in appropriate conditions, to protect food from unwanted contaminants until it reaches to the consumer, and to provide Halal and Tayyib conditions for a Muslim.
