A delegation from the Halal Institute of Prince Songkla University in Thailand has visited GIMDES visit is to learn more about GIMDES, its halal training and activities and to explore future collaboration between the two institutions.
GİMDES president Dr. Hüseyin Kami BÜYÜKÖZER welcomed the delegation from Thailand Songkla University. The Delegation was Asst. Prof. Sunthorn Wongsiri the Vice President for Research and Innovation, Dr. Tawat Noipom the Director of Halal Institute, Asst. Prof. Dr. Payap Masniyom the Deputy Director for Administration and Development of Halal Institute, Dr. Makatar Wae-hayee the Deputy Director for Academic and Research Affairs of Halal Institute and Asst. Prof. Suthisak Duereh the Deputy Dean for Strategic and Organization Development, College of Islamic Studies.
Dr. Tawat Noipom the Director of Halal Institute Spoke on behalf of the Halal Institute and he thanked GIMDES for being accept the visit. Dr.NOPİOM said, we are here to get to know you better, to cooperate and to exchange information, and he wished to have a long-term cooperation with GIMDES.
GIMDES president Dr. Huseyin explained GIMDES mission and vision and its important role in Halal certification system. And he said if Muslim are minority or majority the producers should produce according to Halal conditions. Muslim authorities like Halal certification bodies, institutes, NGOs, universities should work hard to increase the Muslims awareness regarding the importance of Halal bite.
Both parties agreed to sign a memorandum of understanding for increase the level of cooperation.
