World Halal Conference held under WHC organization with host of GIMDES and World Halal Foundation on 28 October 2018 in Retaj Royal Hotel, Istanbul-Turkey.
Conference has done in five sessions:
The first session topic was Marketing and Branding Halal Products with Adequate Verificatıon Methods and Practical Solutions. Session speakers were; Dr. Hüseyin Kami BÜYÜKÖZER, GIMDES – TURKEY, Mazhar HUSSEINI, AHF-AMERICA HALAL FONDATION – USA, Himmet KARADAĞ, Halk Bank Deputy Chairman of the Board- Turkey and Prof. Dr. Ömer TORLAK , President of Competition Authority- Turkey
The second session topic was Tayyib Concept and Human Health. Session speakers were; Prof. Dr. Ahmet Harun PARLAR – HALAL CONTROL GmbH – GERMANY, Dr. Bahmed REFFIS, Girdaya University, ALGERIA, and Dr. Halim AYDIN- MÜSİAD- Turkey
The third session topic was New Challenges Faced by HCB’s. (Accreditation, development, cooperation, innovation and research). Session speakers were Dr. Sukoso – Head of Halal Product Assurance Organization Agency (BPJPH) INDONESIA, Salih YÜKSEL. Head of System Accreditation Dept. at Turkish Accreditation Agency, TÜRKAK- Turkey, M. Zafer GEDİKLİ- WHC- Turkey and Habib GHANIM (ISWA), USA
The fourth session topic was THE IMPORTANCE OF HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT IN HALAL SECTOR. Session speakers were Dr. Hüseyin Kami BÜYÜKÖZER, GIMDES, TURKEY, Dr. Adel SABIR, European Halal Development Agency. UK., Dr. Hamit AKÇAY- GIMDES, TURKEY and Thafier NAJJAR- ICSA- SOUTH AFRICA
The fifth session topic was Quality Management Systems – An Integral Component of Halal Assurance. Session speakers were Dr. Said RATBII: HALAL FOOD & QUALITY OF ISLAMIC CENTER OF LA VALL, SPAIN, Dr. Muhamad Nadratuzzaman Hosen, and President Director for Muhammadiyah Centre for Halal Inspection and Studies. Moulana Said NAVLAKHI: SANHA – SOUTH AFRICA and Dr. HANI AL MAZEEDI- Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research, State of Kuwait.
The 16th AGM of World Halal Council held under the same roof on 29-30 October 2018.
